Diagnosis

Depicted above is a project in Louisiana that had LOSS OF CONTROL ISSUES and terrible LIGHT OUTPUT TAPER. We flew out to DIAGNOSE the system and RE-SETUP the ENTIRE layout if needed. Light fixtures (supplied by COLORONIX) were found to be in great working order. The issue was that the DMX DATA lines were wired incorrectly. thus causing the NO DMX CONTROL.

As for the TAPER issue, the 24 volt light fixtures were powered IN-LINE and created VOLTAGE DROPS as they added more to each end. The light fixtures were REWIRED to be POWERED “parallel” which spread the power evenly thus fixing the TAPER issue.

End result: While using the SAME fixtures but a different wiring layout, we were able to achieve the clients desired lighting design. After fixing the data issue and reprogramming the DMX controller, client had FULL control once again.

They had this issue for 5 months until they contacted us. We solved it in 5 hours.
